I was looking at some notes today, and ran across some notes I took on the book “Prisoner of the Third Cell.”
Here is a quote that really grabbed my attention about water baptism. I am excited about our upcoming water baptism event on May 6th during both of our services.
“Every Jew knew the ancient meaning of a soul being plunged beneath the water of that particular river. It meant the end of life, the cessation of everything. Everyone awaiting baptism stood on the eastern bank, which was foreign land. There they stepped into the water and disappeared…there to die. But each came out of the water and stepped onto the western bank, safe within the border of the promised land, there to begin a new life with God. This simple drama was unforgettable.
I am believing we will have an unforgettable water baptism event on Sunday, May 6th.
